My Approach:
Tania Hussain is a psychologist with over 30 years of professional experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults. She offers a warm, reflective, and respectful therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their experiences and move toward greater emotional regulation, self-understanding, and psychological integration.
Her work is grounded in an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing on Jungian Sandplay Therapy, Gestalt Play Therapy (Oaklander Model), behavioural approaches, and developmental perspectives. She works with both verbal and symbolic forms of expression, recognising that emotional healing often unfolds gradually and through experiential processes.
Tania incorporates experiential and projective techniques, including sand, play, and creative expression, to help clients explore and process inner experiences. Her work focuses on strengthening the sense of self, supporting emotional awareness through the body, senses, and feelings, and encouraging present-moment awareness and natural self-regulation within a safe therapeutic relationship.
She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, attachment challenges, and the impact of significant life events, including loss, bereavement, family separation, and developmental transitions. She also supports children and young people with autism, ADHD, learning differences, and communication challenges.
Tania is also the founder of Turning Point, a centre providing integrated developmental and emotional support for children and young people. In addition to clinical work, she collaborates with parents and schools to support children’s wellbeing, integration, and participation in educational environments.
